EU reiterates its support for ensuring child rights

Islamabad: Every child has a right to be given access to education, health, child friendly justice systems and protection from violence and abuse. Children must also be given the right to be heard. These were some of the key messages given by participating dignitaries and young children at the concluding ceremony of the 3rd National Child Right Arts Festival, which was held to mark the Universal Children Day, celebrated globally on 20th November.

EU REACHED TO AGREEMENT ON DEPORTEES WITH UNDERSTANDING OF PAKISTANI CONCERNS

EUROPEAN UNION DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION: MOU ON EU MULTI INDICATIVE PROGRAMME 2014-2020 SIGNED

Islamabad: December 15, 2015-A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the EU’s Multi Indicative Programme (2014-2020) with a commitment of € 653 million was signed between the Government of Pakistan, through Secretary EAD, Mr. Tariq Bajwa and the European Union, through Ambassador of the European Union, H.E Jean-Francois Cautain.

SUGAR MILLS TO PRODUCE ELECTRISITY AS WELL - EU LAUNCHES SUPPORT PROJECT

Islamabad - Mr.  Benoist Bazin, Head of Section, Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Pakistan today inaugurated the EU funded “High Pressure Cogeneration for Sugar Sector in Pakistan (HP Cogen-Pak)” under the EU SWITCH ASIA Program. The Program will support the local sugar sector to upgrade towards high pressure boiler technology and enable them to export electricity to the national grid.
