FJWU, Indonesian Embassy organizes “Batik Workshop”

Rawalpindi(Staff Reporter)the Department of Fine Arts, Fatima Jinnah Women University, is organized a two days, Batik Workshop from 19-20 March  with  Collaboration of  Indonesian Embassy.

Vice Chancellor FJWU Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, said that it’s a great channel of communication between Indonesia and Pakistan, and we thanks Mr. Deny Tri Basuki that he share his cultural  heritage with us and its beautiful experience, also we learn a new techniques and found a great diversity in Indonesian culture .

PAKISTAN TO IMPORT LNG & POL PRODUCTS FROM INDONESIA

Islamabad: 27 Jan 2018 -Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi today received President of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Joko Widodo at Prime Minister's House Islamabad. Upon arrival, President Widodo was presented Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of the Armed Forces. After a tete-a-tete, Prime Minister Abbasi and President Widodo held in-depth exchange of views, at delegation level, on bilateral relations and a wide range of international and regional issues of shared interest. 
 

INDONESIA TO WORK WITH PAKISTAN FOR PEACE IN AFGHANISTAN

Islamabad(Staff Reporter)President Mamnoon Hussain and President of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo have agreed to work together for peace in Afghanistan and said that peace in Afghanistan is necessary for the development and progress of the region. Both countries will work together in this regard, they added.

AMBASSADOR BURHAN MEETS HIS WIFE IN THE HEAVENS - REST IN PEACE

Singapore - Tazeen Akhtar + DNA - Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan Burhan Mohammad who sustained serious burn injured in the Naltar helicopter crash on May 08 has died. He succumbed to his injuries in a Singapore hospital on Tuesday.

Ambassador Burhan was among those diplomats who were seriously injured in the copter crash. Two ambassadors and two ambassadors’ wives were killed in that crash. Wife of Ambassador of Indonesia was also included among the deceased.

PTA between Pakistan, Indonesia effective Sept 01

ISLAMABAD (DNA) A Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between Indonesia and Pakistan along with a Recognition of Pest Free Area was officially signed in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday, aimed at removing the non-tariff barriers being faced by the Pakistani farmers in exporting Kinnow to Indonesia and to allow the entry of the fruit via the main port in Jakarta.

JAKARTA, SEPT 28 (DNA) -For the past two and half years, the Embassy of Pakistan in Jakarta has been making an effort to introduce various aspects of Pakistani culture cuisine, life and merchandise.In this respect, the Embassy has participated in many ASEAN Food festivals in Jakarta, Bandung and Bali. The Pakistan Embassy has held exhibitions in ASEAN Secretariat, National Gallery of Arts, Jakarta and addressed gatherings of students in five universities of Jakarta.

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 09 (DNA) –Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan Ishak Latuconsina has said Pakistan and Indonesia are tied in strong bonds of friendship and this relationship will further be strengthened in the coming days.

This he said while talking to a select group of people who had gathered at his residence to bid him adieu as he is leaving Pakistan on October 01 after completing his tenure in Pakistan.
